Dr. Jay Turner, MD, PhD, FAANS

Dr. Jay D. Turner has 7 years of experience in the field of Neurological Surgery. He earned his BS in Biology from The College of New Jersey, his Ph.D. in Physiology from Rutgers University, and his MD from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He completed a residency in Neurological Surgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute and fellowships in Complex Spine Surgery at the San Deigo Spine Foundation and the Schulthess Klinik, respectively. Today, this expert is board certified in Neurological Surgery. Formerly, this expert served as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Barrow Neurological Institute. Currently, he serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix and as an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute. He is also a Co-Director of the Barrow Scoliosis and Spinal Deformity Center, Director of the Barrow Clinical Outcomes Center, and the Clinical Director of the Spinal Biomechanics Laboratory at the Barrow Neurological Institute. Moreover, he is a Spine Surgeon at the Barrow Neurological Institute and Barrow Brain and Spine.
