Dr. David Spiegel, MD

Dr. David R. Spiegel has 29 years of experience in the field of Psychiatry. He earned his BS in Psychology from Duke University and his MD from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. After completing an internship in Psychiatry at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, he went on to complete a combined residency in Psychiatry at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Today, this expert is board-certified in Psychiatry and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. Formerly, this expert served as the Medical Director of Older Adult Behavioral Services and as an Attending Psychiatrist at the Chesapeake General Hospital. He also served as an Assistant Professor of Psychology, as an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology, and as the Vice-Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Eastern Virginia Medical School. He currently serves as the Foundation Chair of Psychiatry and as a Professor of Psychiatry at the Eastern Virginia Medical School. Moreover, he is also a Psychiatrist and the Director of the Consultation Liason Service at the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
